I Love Singapore

Dunno wat to post. I was watching this variety show hosted by Mark Lee (woo!) with many foreigners as guest participants. today, they shared some interesting news back at their country. Th one that happened in Israel shocked me and touched me the most!

There is this old lady and her daughter. The daughter sees that her mother's mattress is very very old, so she decided to buy a new one without her mum knowing. She threw away the old one and placed the new one. Very filial right? YES! *tear*
Twist to the story! The old lady had hidden in her old mattress, abt US$1M!!! OMG!!! Yes, i felt very bad, but what touched me is this. The old lady forgave her daughter as both of them are still alive, healthy, and peaceful, so it's better den losing tt lump sum of money... *sobs* well, they are still digging at trash sites looking for the mattress, but to no avail yet. I wish them best of luck! God Bless the both of u!!!

It's National Day tomorrow!!! WOO!!! Happy Birthday Singapore! So Happy to be Singaporean!!!

Had my usual English tuition @ British Council. We had a fun lesson. Going tru oral.. The 2005 specimen, Mdm Prema went through before, but my tuition teacher is going tru more detailed... didn't have chance to practice doing class though. Lucky he didnt give any homework, as dearest Mdm Prema had given us 5 days worth of oral transcripts to do :)

Okay, my tuition teacher say: practice more to improve. get a friends who is going for O lvl too, get a newspaper, magazine, textbook, wudeva and sit down. whip out a recording device and start recording urself reading the passage and discussing the picture! he said he can do with a FHM magazine... lol... he say "in dis pic i see 3 women. they are on a beach and are naked. they are wearing mini bikinis... i suppose someone stole their clothes so they have got nothing to wear..." walau.. dirty old man...

anyway NDPeeps and all Singaporean! rmb to recite the proud Singapore Pledge loud and clear tmr at 8.22pm!!!

Went to Causeway Point with Krystal to watch Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Rating: BOOOO!!!!! SUCH A LETDOWN!!! What is the director doing? He had destroyed Ms Rowling's marvelous story!!! So many IMPORTANT details left out... It shld be called Harry Potter and the Teenage Romance. CHEY! PUI!

Saw Inn Tat and Co. anyway. Inn Tat was like pounce on me suddenly frm behind at the library... Thry are going to eat at "South Korea Capital Garden". ( u noe where la, i juz not going to advertise). with those boys there, the restaurant will go bankrupt.. HAHA

It is sweet sixteen for me!!!

i juz come into class and sit down only, birthday wishes drowned me! LOL
was going to chem lab, den yue qi pass me my second present of the day, wrapped in pink... was like trying to hide.
did my first SPA skill3 designed by myself... it went on successfully luckily.
when reach classroom, i get my second present from holly, wanping, chu hui and huannrong, the 4 belles who accompanied the beast in Viet Nam:) lol
since my bday, i shall skip the part on my A Math results...

aftr sch, me, krystal, xiu hao and yue qi decided to go BPP swensen for lunch
the gals insisted to going home to change, so xiu hao and i walked to BPP. at least some time alone tgt with him.... lol
while walking, MALCOLM called me! i miss him, i muz really hang out with him someday
waited like dunno how long for the gals...
go swensen ate baked rice. there was this 1 for 1 deal, so more worth and cheaper. we stayed in swenson for like dunno how long, gossiped, laughed. got 1 waitress is like wah her oral skills excellent sia... like bullet train... and the accent... krystal gave me the third present, a BROKEN present... she will go to the shop and SCREAM at the sales girl tmr... i will be receiving more on monday...
on the way home is omg... yue qi went different way. xiu hao go bus interchange, den i go lrt, krystal walk home... the process was irritating.
drop xiu hao ler, saw a purple shirt boy chiong towards us with handphone camera... so familiar tt boy... it was DENNIS KOO la... woth dawn and shao yee laughing like siao... dey r like bunch of paparazi lar!!!

It was a tiring day... Joon Kiat, Xiao Lin, Bee Ting, Florence came to my place to chiong the SS project (we behind time)... they were like creating a lot of noise la... coz they dunno where i live, i was like one by one pick dem up... XL came first, i went to LRT stn, den came back up. ltr Flor and BT arrive, i walk to the LRT stn AGAIN den came back up... ltr JK came, i walk ALL THE WAY DOWN TO BUS STOP FAR AWAY to pick him up den walk ALL THE WAY BACK HOME...
we found many info but dunno wat to put... redundant...
ltr we were joking around.. waste time... Xiao Lin saw my goldfishies den recalled her aunt's.
she said 'my bro shocked my aunt till heart attack and died, hahaha'
we asked 'huh? y u so happy?'
she said 'not my fish ma!'
we were like 'CHEY! HAHAHA! the fish heart attack har! we tot ur aunt heart attack and died coz of ur bro...'

In Viet Nam

Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) ~ Hue ~ Da Nang ~ Hoi An

i shall not say much but to summarise my trip.. i'm not going to tok abt the places of interest as tt is for me to noe and for u to find out!

Da Lat was cool and really was COOL.. everyone was frozen. we went to a orphanage there to do CIP. we did gardening and planted sakura tree. aftr lunch we went back to paint their playground.. aftr dinner went back to entertain dem. we also prepared a dikir barat dance to show them... they were all heartwarming :)

Saigon was great! Ho Chi Minh is the name now, named after the first president, MR Ho Chi Minh. did alot of shopping there and LOTS of bargaining.

Hue and Hoi An are also great places, though things sold there u really have to BARGAIN as a lot tourist, of course expensive.

PS.. try to spend all ur money (VND). dun wait till inside airport. in the airport, things are sold in USD so when converted, u lose out alot, and very expensive.

Friday is yet another day

Morning went to hospital with mum to see grandma... everyone is getting prepared to accept the fact tt she may join grandpa up there anytime soon. *sobs* 4th aunt was expected to reach Singapore today morning. so i tink tt grandma may go aftr having one last look at each of her child. her heartbeats were irregular and mum said her heartbeat had stopped for a few seconds for quite a few occasions. *sobs more*
I was told not to stay in the ward too long so i went out to sit and read the 'hong lou meng'. i managed to read a quarter. i sort of understand the story (as the phrases are so China Literature) and it was a little boring. i rather read the same title published by singapore so i can understand with the singaporean chinese (no offence). My cute nieces and nephew came too. I was amazed by my niece singing 'Super Trooper' by ABBA. she was only 6 yet she noe a song way far back frm her generation.
In the evening, i left for dinner alone. i rushed and cant find my way to the cafe... i took like dunno how long la. i had to gobble down my noodles and drink..
rch Raffles Place mrt to meet mr low, kryst, qi, ting and yanling. den we went to watch a concert of various choirs conducted by the renowned Nelson Kwei. we enjoyed a series of christmas carols. we were discussing abt the costumes and comparing their voice quality against us. we wondered why our choir cant be as gd as dem.
there was one thing i cant stand tt day. ting and yanling kept pushing me towards kryst twice frm my back and tt WASNT NICE AT ALL. i can take it if dey juz say and joke abt it but i cant accept to THIS EXTENT TT I WAS SET UP TO HAV PHYSICAL CONTACT WITH HER... there is not a single chemistry between us lah... bloody huiting and yanling, de watchout on monday...
aftr the whole thing krst father drove us home. i appreciate his kindness A LOT as krystal live in bktimah and he lives in holland... so is like will take him long time and petrol to fetch us home den drive back... so THANK YOU Mr Lee.
at home watched Survivor Gabon. i was starting to see the craftiness in team Nobag. i wont say much but i just want to comment abt RANDY! he was like tricked by Bob coz Sugar wanted to make a fool out of himself. Randy was totally embarrassed infront of everyone in tribal council by using a FAKE immunity idol made by Bob. the real one was long been found by Sugar long long ago... i nvr liked randy frm day1... i juz dun like him. it was luck tt he managed to be in top 10..

jeri, krystal, eileen, astor and michelle went to ms lim house to party. we missed her. we played and ate. had a gr8t time with her.

aftr tt went to trinity church@adams rd to explore how it is like to be a christian (i'm not). we went fuelling, then service. i had a gr8t time, but at times, it was overwhelming. krystal went home first aftr tt.

aftr tt, we went for dinner den to island creamery nearby for icecream! I ordered tehtarik and strawberry sorbet. The sorbet wasn’t sour enough though. astor had milo and teh tarik, michelle had sour sop and teh tarik, eileen had MUDPIE and cookies&cream. the MUDPIE WAS HEAVEN!

ltr on the bus... somethin freakin pissed happened.
there was a few bags of stuufs unattended beside us. as u noe, as Singaporeans, we r alert. we were worried tt inside might have dangerous items u noe. it seems like no one's. so eileen and michelle went to tell driver. den a gut shouted at us. "wat? cannot put there is it? huh? y go complain?! blablabla" he made a scene! we apologised yet he continued his shouting. we alighted at the nxt stop frustrated. of course he is wrong! he put his stuff there and was blocking ppl's way!. i feel like resoning with him on the bus. we were too gracious to juz alight.

An Eventful Day

So today is yet another day for choir practice. When Ms Lye is gone, with Mr Lim back, the choir returned to the original state. Burung Kakak Tua is a total disaster. waht happened to the light and melodious voice? OH MY CHOIRNESS!
Ltr discuused abt the understudy for committee. Debated for a while b4 finally listing down the finalist. will break the news during choir camp, and nxt yr will start training.

Had luch with daughter krysta, yati yueqi, minah huting and zhiting at McD. i tries the mega mcspicy... made me so full. krystal kept eating my fries... and there was louise nearby, mistaking me as krystal's bf. omg... dun get the wrong idea, there is not a single chemistry!

while going home, sumtin interesting happened. there was this yeh yeh, he stopped me and asked me to carry his bagfull of orange and a stack of cardboard. he had a walking stick and had difficulty walking. so, being so kind, i followed suit and carried his things back to his house. while walking, ppl stared at me and seemed as if 'aiyoh, this grandpa n grandson very cham lei..' okay, so malu... i dunno him, he dunno me, wa.... very embarrassing lei. but nvm, i take it as doing some charity work :)

at home while doing out choir camp proposal and posting dis, SUDDENLY SHORT CIRCUIT! summore haven save the documents yet...

Ms Lai ROX! Burung Kakak Tua is almost done! we will be able to surprise mr lim, at least i think... we will miss her.
Mrs Lua last day in CCKSS! boohoo, she is a great teacher u know? i will sure miss her physics lesson. been with her for 1 and a half year.
today mr tan der physics, we are all laughing for the whole lesson. he is TOTALLY humorous, a gd teaching technique!

had a boring bridging day, not until choir practice started.
from 1pm i was like hey mrs ching, the card access to the ava plz. iwent up, a bunch of juniors sit down there.. den, OMG, the whole gate is locked. NO ONE TOOK THE INITIATIVE TO GO ASK FOR THE KEYS AND OPEN THE DOOR. vomit blood... so nvm, i went down to staffrm, asked for keys frm mrs ching, went down to general office with her... she cant find the keys and finally found out mr low took dem... icalled 3 girls and NO ONE picked up my call till the 4th girl, she said mr low is in the ava rm and all are inside.....=.='''
nvm... mr low started warm up and ran through the songs once... yanling was beside me and she kept swaying, ya, 'enjoying the music', WA very distracting ar! i keep singing wrongly and laughing, krystal oso laughing. yanling DIDNT noe she was actually swaying siah... so, i dedicate the song 'dancing queen' to ms lau yanling, ya, u can jive, u can dance, havin the time of ur life...
MISS JULIETTE LYE ROX! I love her Burung Kakak Tua. we had a great time with this choir mistress, (we luv mr lim eqqually la huh). she corrected us and TOTALLY put the REAL MOOD of the song into our singing... we suddenly sing so well, but not very. cant wait for friday to her next session!

Today is yet another boring day...
After sch went to do fit to travel check up.. on the way went to cck interchange with wan ping and jeremy tay.. these 2 very suspicious siah... aftr i came out frm the medical room, i saw some 3/7 ppl registering for the same checkup. den yen loong came. the clinic ppl start to freak out by these same checkup... yen loong asked if got full body check up, den i asked him want to check where, he say tt part *ahem*, i said no, no one want to touch. he ask me if the doctor is chio...(doctor is a woman.) he came out and told me tt the doc say he is too fit and said he is cool...lol

I cant wait for wednesday to come. miss juliette lye will conduct the choir, she is oso the composer for burung kakak tua(we r singing this piece). she came once last yr, she wasnt bad.

Saturday was Mr and Mrs Wong's wedding at a church. Finally our beloved Mr Wong is married. Aww... Many of our teachers and principals were there, including 1/8'o6. Lovely wedding. ANYWAY, CONGRATZ SIR. hope u 'zao sheng gui zi'!

Afterwards, me, xh, den, zy, vern, jk went to Lot1. Since it is Xiu's bday on Sunday, ie today, we started talking abt Xiu liking Gundam, hance kentang, hane ptt, ie potato. ya i let the cat out of the bag, but hu cares, he's gonna noe the secret tmr. So, we wanted to giv him pttc (which i wont say wa it is now). Xiu's suspense is getting him crazy...
So zy and vern sneaked of to get pttc, while i go shopping for a important present.
I walked the whole Lot1 for 1hr or so den finally made up my mind which to buy. JK was like impatient, and i told him he will understand my feeling wen he is in a 'messed up heart' state like me.

at the chem lab, we tested for observation when gas is produced. i juz tok abt the interesting ones. Chlorine: the whole lab smells like hundreds of swiming pool
Ammonia: the whole lab smell like a toilet without flush. the smell juz stings ur nose
Sulphur: ROTTEN EGGS. half the class evacuated. smell too overwhelming...

Today is sports day in school, evryone went to cck sports stadium! Quite boring actually... Needless to say, blue house won again (boo!) AND US THE YELLOW HOUSE GOT 3rd...

Wah! today first time give present to a gal, very nervous! actually i didn't buy but den the gals pester me to buy for her... haix... OKAY! i bought it and it took me at least 10 mins to calm myself down and den i gav it to her....

Joon Kiat, Bee Ting, Florence and Wan Ping pestered me to pass the gift to her in class (as she came into my class). i kept delaying den she went out of class not knowing... den i found mrs lua's markers... juz in time siah -.- i quickly took my bag and rushed out of class, but cannot find her... beeting and company say she went ler and scolded me for delaying -.-''' i rushed to the bus stop and saw her... again, i delayed... joon kiat told me to be quick so here goes

OMG!!! Yesterday juz scolded choir for the unhappiness among all of us including the teachers... the teachers were outside and the chairman and i were talking to dem in a direct way, trying to be fair and give reasonable reasons. in return ther give feedback on wat they are unhappy about, tt's okay, but wat i can't stand is some of them make give feedback with UNREASONABLE reasons behind it. Can U believe tt? i am sure choir is the only cca like this... oh... gd, vented my anger here... more relaxed now... -.-"'

Hey everyone, Happy 2oo8! how's everyone? started school, cut my hair layer... very fast long ler... waste $10...
School wasn't tt bad... accompanied class 1/4 the best express class with few other fellow prefects... surprised tt mrs lua is my form tcher again.. tt's ok. only first day i have to worry about choir... see how busy is a vice chairman?! worse still i'll be promoted to chairman in april.. but tt's gd

started work at a sch bookshop sumwhere in jurong (cannot say) helping my aunt... missed my ice skating trip with malcolm and company tmr....
oso mom cut my hair until like dunno wat bcos aunt say the OM kept looking at me with tt kind of look, aunt say maybe bcos of my long hair... i can understand as i maybe a bad influence to the kids there as primary sch hair rules not like sec sch... so goodbye layered hair... having proper haircut tmr.... hopefully can cut layer... if not slope lor... haix... see how
